WHO AM I?
I am Rung Button, a lifestyle portrait photographer. The strange name is because I am originally from Norway and my real name "Ragnhild" is difficult to pronounce for anyone not speaking Norwegian so "Rung" is my nick-name.  After a life-long career in tourism I now devote my  time to photography which is what I love doing. I have a Diploma in Photography and having been in a service-orientated industry for so long, I easily connect with and understand my clients.
WHY DO I PHOTOGRAPH FLOWERS, BIRDS & BEES?
Nature is magnificent. Flowers always give associations of happy events and nature presents so many opportunities for artful interpretation.  Instead of showing you the scene as it is (ie a “record shot”), I like to show you my interpretation.  What did the scene look like when I shot it, what did it resemble. How was the light – was it dark and gloomy or was it bright and cheerful. What did the scene make me feel?  Sad? Happy? Relaxed? Intrigued? I sell my Fine Art images online, contact me if you would like further details.
WHY DO I SHOOT LIFESTYLE PORTRAITS?
Gone are the days of stiff studio shoots. I have been there and I really didn’t enjoy it as it was so artificial and just not “me”. Many professional photographers still want you to come to their studio because that makes their lives easier and they can see more clients in a day.   But let’s admit it -  very few feel comfortable in front of the camera anyway, and specially not in a studio setting.  I expect you feel the same way? That’s why I recommend Lifestyle photographs, shot in your home, in the garden or in your favourite place. I build extra time into the sessions for my clients to relax before we start shooting.   Let me capture the authentic “YOU” in a setting you are comfortable with. Children with their favourite toys; teenagers hanging out with their buddies; informal family get-togethers; anniversary and birthday photos – don’t let these moments pass without having a record.
Photographs matter because they freeze moments of our lives that pass unremarkably and which seem to have little importance to us at the time. It’s a great way to stay in touch with those who live far away.  Friends and family who don’t see you often, these photos will help them feel close. Don’t just settle for a cell-phone snap-shot, you and those special to you are worth more than that!
We will have fun together. We will take the photo session slowly and gradually, at a pace which you are comfortable with.  You will get high quality digital photos a couple of weeks after the photoshoot. These you can use on Facebook, e-mail to friends and family abroad, and use when you need a portrait photo for your business. I will also help with printing your favourite photos so they can be displayed for everyone to admire.
