I HATE HAVING MY PHOTO TAKEN. HOW WILL YOU MAKE ME LOOK GOOD?
I don’t believe anyone is un-photogenic. The key to capturing you at your best is making you feel comfortable and relaxed. I tend to veer away from rigid, posed pictures and instead focus on being in the moment and catching a candid smile or laugh. My ability to help you feel like yourself in front of the camera will leave you with images you’ll cherish and make you wonder why you hated having your photo in the first place.
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?
My style is organic and real. I capture moments happiness and emotion. I capture the real YOU. That is why I don’t ask you to come to a studio but instead use your home and natural surroundings.
IS THERE A TIME LIMIT FOR MY PORTRAIT SESSION?
No, there is not a time limit for your portrait photography session. However, I need to know how much time to dedicate to you on the day of your photo shoot, I will plan on 2 hours.  The average session takes 1 – 2 hours depending on how many outfit changes you would like, and in how many different settings.
CAN I BE PHOTOGRAPHED IN SEVERAL OUTFITS?
Yes, of course. I recommend you limit yourself to two or three. If you are unsure of what to wear, I can help you narrow down your choices. Just remember – if your choice of venue is the golf course or neighbourhood park, changing outfits may be tricky. The choice is up to you but I do recommend clothing and outfits without strong design or patterns so as not to detract from the face. Wear colours and styles which your friends compliment you on when you wear them. Avoid white shirts if possible, if it’s sunny outside, solid white shirts can become very “contrasty” in sunlight making it harder to meter for properly exposed faces.  It is a good idea to bring a couple of pretty scarves and maybe your favourite sun hat.
HOW LONG TILL I HAVE MY PHOTOS?
I realise you are excited to receive your photos and I work to make sure you receive your images as fast as possible. My average turnaround time is a couple of weeks. I may post a teaser image on social media while I finish the editing process.  All images are individually edited.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I GET?
This will depend on which of the packages you choose, but a minimum of 15 images will be sent to you. If you would like some photos printed professionally I will arrange this for you at an additional cost.
WILL I OWN THE IMAGES FROM MY PHOTOSHOOT?
While you will have access to your images online to use for social media or order prints, I retain the copyright for your photos. I update my portfolio often and may use your photographs for marketing purses. If you are uncomfortable with your images being used in my marketing efforts, we can discuss other options.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY PHOTO SHOOT?
I can put together a photoshoot in a hurry if we need to, but I always prefer / recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance, if possible. This gives us plenty of time to make sure you have all the wardrobe pieces you need. If you choose a package which includes a hair-do and make-up session, I will also need to factor in the availability of these in additional to my own diary requirements.
CAN I GIVE A PHOTOSHOOT AS A PRESENT TO MY PARENTS / MUM / FRIEND?
Yes! You can choose any package to be included in the gift. I will make sure they absolutely LOVE their experience!
HOW MUCH EDITING DO YOU DO?
Every photograph is individually hand-edited to ensure that they have the best exposure, contrast, tone etc. I will, where possible, remove any noticeable minor blemishes.
I AM CONSCIOUS ABOUT MY CELLULITE / TUMMY / WRINKLES ....... (fill in the blanks) AND I AM WORRIED IT WILL RUIN MY PICTURES?
You don’t need to look like a model and we can work around anything about your appearance that you’re uncomfortable with. If you have something specific that you’re self-conscious about (as well as anything about your body that you love and want to focus on), let’s chat about it ahead of the photo shoot so I can plan accordingly.
